Former CRADLE OF FILTH Guitarist Launches New Project
January 9, 2008Former CRADLE OF FILTH guitarist James McIroy — who left the band in 2005 — has formed a new project. The lineup for the as-yetunnamed group remains under wraps, but they have five completed demo tracks with first-pass vocals, one of which has the working title "Heaven Shall Burn". Plans exist for the band to record a studio album later this year.
Commented McIlroy: "Let's put it this way: this stuff is going to surprise a lot of people.
"I'm sat here listening to the demo versions, having the track with the working title of 'Heaven Shall Burn' just on loop. Well, it sounds nothing like you'd expect by the moniker; it's come such a long way from when it started off, in fact, listening to the initial versions, well, it's kind of like night and day, and we're not finished yet. It's just this epic track, like a journey almost, with just such a lot of cool shit in it!"
He added, "So for anyone still wondering, hey, I am not done with this thing called music yet by a long way! And the day when this shit sees the light is drawing ever closer..."
